It may not be what you think… No matter what business opportunity you are involved with, or what product you are selling on the internet, when you genuinely fully grasp and understand what the secret is, you will never have to worry about your financial future again. You will always have financial independence, and you will have created an asset for yourself that you will ALWAYS have. And what is the secret, you ask? Quite simply, it is your ‘personal network…’ your personal network is your secret to financial freedom online.
I have become aware that lots of people in the multi level marketing business, or online marketing, or in the home business world in general, tend to focus their time and energy on their ‘product’ or their ‘business opportunity,’ and they act as though whatever they are selling, whatever they are promoting, or whatever their business opportunity is that they are selling is more important than they are — that the product or opportunity is the important selling point, when actually it is quite the opposite… the most important thing is actually themselves. You might actually have an exceptional business opportunity, but if you have not really developed yourself into somebody that is worth following and that people are going to really take value from, you are not going to be the magnetic person it takes to be successful in this industry. If you have been around this industry for a bit, you may already know this, and you may have an understanding of the concept… that it is about ‘personal development’ and ‘branding yourself’ , but my main point today is how you can take that concept of ‘you’ and build an asset that you will be able to have forever – even if your network marketing company goes out of business tomorrow, it will not matter – and that asset is the network you create, the following you create, based upon YOU. Again, it is your Personal Network!
Having your own personal network is incredibly important, and it is the secret to ensuring your financial independence on the internet. One of my favorite entrepreneurs and a great inspiration, Robert Kiyosaki, says that ‘Wealthy people build networks … everyone else looks for work.’ The meaning behind that concept is that if you work on building your own personal network, you will then have the ability to access that network whenever you want, thereby creating financial freedom for yourself.
Okay, so how do you create a network and what does it look like? Essentially, your network is your ‘list,’ which is what you create when you make friends on any of the social networks, like Facebook, Twitter, a blog, MySpace, etc. These are all ways you can build your network, but the key in creating your network is in cultivating the relationships you develop in those social networks. The relationships you build are the true leverage for your success. Essentially, the key is building up your personal network of like-minded individuals and cultivating the relationships those individuals. When you build real relationships with people, it no longer matters exactly what ‘opportunity’ you are selling. People will join you and follow you because of YOU. And the crux of the relationship is to provide these people with something of value. You must give in order to receive. The more value you provide, the bigger your network will become, and the more potential will you have to create wealth for yourself.
So, do not be so focused on your network marketing company or just selling your product, but instead focus on really developing yourself into your OWN business by branding you and creating your network. By focusing on You, you will be able to create sustainable success. You are creating You, and that is it, that is the big ’secret’ to internet marketing and to being financially free online.
Make sure you do not get caught up in all of the ‘new’ opportunities coming online everyday, and do not get caught up in hopping from company to company and effectively spreading yourself too thin (I was definitely guilty of doing this initially!). Do not get caught up in all of that… keep your focus on developing yourself, focus on building your own personal network, build relationships with people in social networks and build your own list. The secret is You. Master You, and you have mastered the real secret to financial freedom on the internet. This is something that once you ‘get’ and you implement, you will always have financial independence.
